And yet another reason why the Crop & Create weekend was great, I got to take a class from Vicki Boutin. (We need more Canadian representation like her around in the papercrafting world). The class was a technique tags class, how awesome is that, felt like a two for one.
Here are all our beautiful tags. So happy with how they turned out.
Check out some of the yummy papers we used. The tissue paper we made ourselves by spraying plain white tissue with an Color Shine Iridescent Spritz from Heidi Swapp. Once dry we just applied a script stamp with black ink. I will definitely be using this technique over and over again.
These are a couple tags we created with the tissue paper. The small one on the left we inked and glued chipboard stars to prior to wrapping it in the paper.
Here is Vicki, doing her thang!!
All the buttons and bling and twine, OH MY!!!
I had to get my pic taken with Vicki
I bought her book Creative Foundations so I could get her to sign it. She was so sweet, even though she was exhausted from having taught all day and night. She took the time to sit and write me a little message wishing me luck with my creative endeavours. So many awesome techniques learned today and in the book. I can’t wait to sit down and play.
Kind of sad, Crop & Create is done and my posts about the weekend are done :( At least this is a long weekend and we are going out to a cottage for the annual family Thanksgiving. Wooo! I can also look forward to next year as I hear they might be coming back, YEY!!
